PERSONAL AUTO INSURANCE

ersonal auto insurance provides coverage for private passenger vehicles. If you're in an accident and found to be at fault, your car insurance will pay for the other driver's car repairs and medical care under your liability coverage. To cover damage done to your car, you need comprehensive and collision coverage.
The price of an insurance policy varies by driver and depends on factors like age, gender, and driving history. While a handful of states don't require drivers to carry insurance, most states do have minimum requirements that drivers have to meet. The minimum differs in every state, and many drivers prefer to purchase more coverage than their state's minimum. If you're financing or leasing a car, your lending company will usually require you to carry auto insurance even if your state doesn't.
You can expect to pay more for your insurance if you have a poor driving record or you want extra coverage. However, if you purchase comprehensive and collision insurance, you can reduce your premiums by agreeing to pay a higher deductible.

MEXICO INSURANCE

If you are driving your car to Mexico then buying a Mexican car insurance policy is a must. However, navigating the Mexican auto insurance landscape is difficult, and traditional Mexican car insurance policies are not well suited for the needs of foreigners driving their cars in Mexico.
Traditional Mexican car insurance policies don’t have the same structure as American policies, and many contain funny exclusions that foreigners aren’t used to or don’t expect. Moreover, they may not offer policy terms in English. As a result, foreigners in Mexico have difficulty finding insurance they are comfortable with and that provides the standards of coverage they expect.
This is where MexiPass comes in. We are Mexican Insurance… the American Way!® MexiPass offers Mexican car insurance policies that adhere to American standards. We focus specifically on satisfying the needs of foreigners driving their foreign-registered autos in Mexico. The best part? Our Mexican car insurance policies have similar coverage parts to American policies and terms are available in both English and Spanish. As such, our policies are easy to understand and there is no question about what coverage you are purchasing.

RENTERS INSURANCE

Typically, renters insurance provides three types of coverage: personal property coverage, renters liability insurance, and additional living expenses. Different insurance companies sometimes give different names to these coverage types, but in general, they all function the same way.
Personal property or personal belongings coverage is what most people think of when it comes to renters insurance. Personal belongings include things like furniture, clothing and shoes, electronics and devices, appliances and kitchen equipment, home goods such as bedding and towels, and most sports and hobby equipment such as bicycles and musical instruments. Certain personal belongings may be excluded from a standard policy if they're above a certain value, such as jewelry, artwork, collectibles, and specialized computer or hobby equipment. A policyholder will have the option to add coverage for items that exceed standard coverage limits. These policy add-ons are usually known as riders, floaters, or additional personal property coverage, and they are an affordable way to ensure you’ll be compensated if your valuables are stolen, damaged, or destroyed.

Many people already have qualifying health insurance coverage through:

  • Employer-sponsored plans

  • Coverage purchased through Covered California or directly from insurers
